Crystal Palace have agreed a deal to sign Wolfsburg defender Maxson Lacroix, subject to finalising personal terms.

The http://ufabet999.app reports that Palace will pay an initial €18m (£15.1m) fee plus a further €3m (£2.5m) in add-ons for Lacroix.

However, a deal is yet to be agreed with the 24-year-old.

The attempt to sign Lacroix comes amid uncertainty over the future of Marc Guehi. Who remains a target for Newcastle United.

The Frenchman has entered into the final year of his Wolfsburg contract. Leading to his lower market value, and has been subject to a £14m offer from Palace. But this offer falls considerably short of Wolfsburg’s valuation of the player, with the Selhurst Park outfit needing to severely step up their bid if they wish to secure his services.

Wolfsburg are now also less willing to move Lacroix on after dropping out of the race to sign Liverpool defender Sepp Van den Berg. Who was viewed as Lacroix’s potential successor.

However, Palace are already in need of new centre-back reinforcement with Joachim Andersen joining Fulham for £30m.

Another defender, Sadi Rhian, only joined Palace this summer. But picked up a back injury after just 10 minutes of the Carabao Cup tie. Tuesday’s Cup final

For Lacroix, he was a key player for Wolfsburg last season, making 28 appearances and missing five through suspension.
